Parisian Electro Swing master, Kiwistar, has just been added to our already bulging NYE bill. Couldn't be more excited to bring a little je ne sais quio to our soiree.
Check him out.
Felix Fables came along a little while back to launch their new album, In This Town, it was helluva night and we got the video to prove it. Check it out.
On 29th November, approximately a week from now, Tom Allen's Society heads to Bedroom Bar (in affiliation with our neighbours the Comedy Cafe) for his inaugural monthly special, packed with his own inimitable stand-up, incisive chat, anarchic parlor games and outstanding special guests; this month include JOSIE LONG, MILES JUPP and GEOFF LLOYD.
It's stand up, sit down, chatting the nonsense and worth while. After having interviewed celebs like Matt Smith, Jack Whitehall, Sarah Millican and such - Tom has developed the concept even further.
So - come on over on Tuesday 29th November - for some outrageous and ridiculous. For tonight, we switch foot stomping and dangerous dancing and see the Bedroom Bar laughing.
This New Years Eve we have something for you like 62 Rivington Street has never seen before. So, everyone loves a good Christmas party right? Parties like the one in the picture?
Of course not.
They're all being forced to wear weird Christmas hats and pose for awkward pictures and wear shirts and jumpers like the guy on the left. Sure, the food was probably good but bet it was just Grandma doing all the cooking. Which sucks - nice Christmas she must've had.
Eat, drink and be merry this festive season and give poor Grandma a break.
Three:Style is a new phenomenon coming to Bedroom Bar 2nd December. After Ruby & the Vines have rocked out, Shepdog and his crew take over with something special.
In their own words, this is what Three:Style is:
"Everyone knows three is the magic number. With that in mind, three DJ's have linked forces to bring you a new night of noises, with a simple concept. Three tracks back-to-back from one prolific artist, then on to the next one, all night long.
DJs Shepdog, BobaFatt & Mo Fingaz will be spinning the sickest selection of Hip Hop, Soul, Reggae, Funk, Disco, House and beyond - no style will be left untouched except that the style with remain three.
Threedom is road rarely travelled by the multitude. We're taking it there.
Three your mind and the rest will follow..."
So this week, Wordamouth coming at ya come Wednesday with ANDY CRAVEN-GRIFFITHS and DEANNA RODGER with some of the best spoken word, hip hop and poetry around. A scene not easily found in London but so worth a night out.
Up next the beat breaking, rhyme inducing sounds from the LOCAL POSSE. Always seriously special stuff from these guys; and this month it's LAZY HABITS, MORE LIKE TREES, REEPS ONE and KLUMZY TUNG.
Finally Friday's up and the VIBADELIKS and FREE PEACE promise to smash things up a bit with their hip hop, afro latin fusion.
